What is Neighbor's Pet?
Neighbor's Pet is an online platform that connects pet owners to board each other's pets when they travel, all tracked on a credit system. Members earn credits when they host pets, and can use these credits to board their own pet when they travel.
How does it work?
NP members earn credits by hosting pets and redeem them for boarding when they travel. 1 credit equals 1 night of boarding for 1 pet. Members earn credits by accepting boarding requests from others. To ensure enough credits for upcoming trips, members are encouraged to host pets in advance.
How much does it cost?

How is Neighbor’s Pet different from other pet boarding platforms on the market?
What sets this platform apart is that members who host pets earn credits instead of money. The credits track their hosting effort and reward them with the opportunity to board with another NP member. The community driven nature of the platform ensures that members provide attentive care to receive similar, high-quality care in return when boarding their own pets.
What considerations go into matching a boarding request with potential hosts?
We take into account each member's preference of types of pets they’d be comfortable hosting or boarding with, geographical location, and availability.
I matched with a potential host! What’s next?
NP connects the two members to be able to communicate, set up a meet and greet / play date if they choose to, and plan logistics related to boarding. After both members communicate, they are able to confirm and proceed with the booking. After the booking is complete, the host is rewarded with credits.
What if my pet gets sick while being boarded?
Every member that signs up with NP also carries the responsibility of treating their neighbor’s pet as their own when they host. With that comes the responsibility of vet visits if absolutely necessary. Members are to provide their pet’s vet information for the hosts’ benefit during these circumstances.
